Dr. Sumit Joshi is a distinguished neurosurgeon in Nepal, currently serving as a Senior Consultant in the Department of Neurosurgery at Nepal Mediciti Hospital. He has performed over 2,000 surgeries, specializing in traumatic brain injury, neurovascular conditions, degenerative spinal diseases, complex spinal surgeries, peripheral nerve disorders, and brain tumors.
Dr. Joshi earned his MBBS from the University of Science and Technology in Chittagong, Bangladesh, and completed his MS in Neurosurgery at Lugansk Medical University in Ukraine. His primary interests include neurovascular, skull base, and complex spinal surgeries.
In recognition of his contributions to neurosurgery, Dr. Joshi received the "Best Young Neurosurgeon" award from the Nepalese Society of Neurosurgeons (NESON) during their third international conference in November 2021. He is also an active member of NESON, having served as an executive member and contributed to organizing continuing medical education events and conferences.
