 Prof. Dr. Rajiv Jha is a distinguished neurosurgeon in Nepal, currently serving as the Head of the Department of Neurosurgery and MCh Coordinator at the National Academy of Medical Sciences, Bir Hospital, Kathmandu. With over 20 years of experience in the field, he has performed more than 10,000 neurosurgical procedures, including in areas such as vascular, tumor, trauma, pediatric, spine, peripheral nerve, and functional neurosurgery.

Dr. Jha holds an MD in General Medicine from Tver State Medical Academy, Russia (2000), an MS in General Surgery (2008), and an MCh in Neurosurgery (2013) from the National Academy of Medical Sciences, Bir Hospital. He has pursued further specialized training through fellowships in Skull Base and Functional Neurosurgery at Medanta The Medicity, India (2011), the World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies (WFNS) in Germany (2012), and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, USA (2013).

His professional affiliations are extensive, including life memberships with the Nepal Medical Council, Nepal Medical Association, Society of Surgeons of Nepal, and the Nepalese Society of Neurosurgeons. He is also a member of several international organizations such as the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, European Association of Neurosurgical Societies, World Federation of Neurosurgical Societies, and the Asian Congress of Neurological Surgeons.

In addition to his role at Bir Hospital, Dr. Jha serves as a consultant neurosurgeon at Norvic International Hospital in Kathmandu, where he conducts outpatient services daily. He has made notable contributions to neurosurgical literature, with numerous publications addressing various neurological conditions and treatments.
